Description

  • Validate language codes in HTML and PDF metadata and identify mixed-language content missing proper declarations.
  • Test translated content with native-language screen readers to verify accuracy, clarity, and natural phrasing.
  • Review hidden elements, tooltips, error messages, alt text, and UI labels for accessibility in Spanish.
  • Evaluate captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, and multimedia controls for accessibility and correct target-language labeling.
  • Document defects with WCAG/PDF-UA references, screenshots or recordings, and severity classifications.
  • Participate in review calls with the QA Lead as needed.
  • Work from project-based scopes, checklists, and access credentials provided for each engagement.
  • Flag unclear checklist items or out-of-scope findings for clarification.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience testing digital content with assistive technology.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA and EN 301 549.
  • Ability to assess accessibility from a native-speaker usability perspective, not just technical compliance.
  • Reliable access to the devices and operating systems needed to replicate real-world usage in the target locale.
  • Strong written communication skills in English for defect reporting and general communication (preferred).
  • Experience with PDF accessibility testing using PAC 3 or Adobe Acrobat Pro Accessibility Checker (preferred).
  • Familiarity with internationalization, localization, and translation workflows (preferred).
  • Personal use of assistive technology (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as CPACC, WAS, DHS Trusted Tester, or equivalent (preferred).
