Description

  • Lead forensic review and reconciliation of historical financial data to establish an audit-ready reporting foundation.
  • Ensure custodial and on-chain transaction data is traceable to source and accurately reflected in GAAP reporting.
  • Serve as the internal technical accounting authority for ASC 606, ASC 805, principal-versus-agent assessments, M&A integrations, and DeFi yield protocols.
  • Draft financial disclosures, MD&A, and S-1/F-1 prospectus materials for potential registration statements and SEC engagement.
  • Develop legal-entity financial statements from high-volume, unstructured data sources.
  • Partner with Trading and Business Development teams to evaluate the accounting impact of DeFi yields and wrapped assets before launch.
  • Design SOPs for offshore teams and improve month-end close cadence.
  • Strengthen integration between crypto sub-ledgers and NetSuite.

Requirements

  • Experience in Big 4 audit or technical accounting, accounting advisory, or in-house accounting at a high-growth digital-assets firm, fintech startup, broker-dealer, or investment bank.
  • Experience reconstructing legal-entity financials from high-volume, unstructured data.
  • Proficiency with Workiva, NetSuite, and crypto sub-ledgers such as Luca, TaxBit, or BitWave.
  • Direct experience with SEC pre-clearance, purchase accounting under ASC 805, and DeFi accounting.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and ASC 606 principal-versus-agent considerations.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with Trading and Business Development teams on new product accounting assessments.
  • Proven ability to create SOPs and lead offshore teams to improve month-end operations.
  • Flexibility to work East Coast hours and across time zones during critical periods such as month-end close.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a continuous-improvement mindset.
