Description

  • Support the reliability, performance, and scalability of Fable’s systems and infrastructure.
  • Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and help troubleshoot production issues.
  • Work with engineers and SREs to debug issues across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Contribute to improving logging, monitoring, and alerting for better observability.
  • Assist with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Support infrastructure and configuration changes under guidance, including cloud resources and environments.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve system performance, stability, and cost efficiency.
  • Reduce operational complexity and technical debt where possible.
  • Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.
  • Document systems, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related field; internships included.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of software systems, APIs, and web applications.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, or a strong interest in learning them.
  • Basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Curiosity about how systems run in production and how to make them more reliable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Exposure to monitoring/observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana (nice to have).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation (nice to have).
  • Interest in platform engineering, developer tooling, or system reliability (nice to have).
  • Experience through internships, co-ops, or personal projects (nice to have).
