Description

  • Lead and support a team of engineers through coaching, feedback, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Foster a strong engineering culture and help build team capability.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality applications and APIs.
  • Stay hands-on with architecture and coding where needed.
  • Drive technical discussions on architecture, scalability, quality, and engineering best practices.
  • Remove blockers and coordinate with cross-functional partners to support reliable delivery.
  • Ensure the team delivers sustainably and with consistent execution.
  • Guide implementation details and review technical designs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience leading technical direction and delivering production systems.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and holding performance conversations with engineers.
  • Previous people management experience preferred.
  • Strong technical credibility with the ability and willingness to contribute code and review designs.
  • Experience balancing people leadership, technical decision-making, and delivery management.
  • Experience with large code-base products or enterprise-grade software, with an emphasis on quality, maintainability, and operational excellence.
  • Experience with cloud platforms; AWS experience preferred.
  • Interest in solving complex problems that help keep people safe.
