Description

  • Design, build, and maintain complex full-stack systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders to develop and ship features.
  • Design, build, and maintain APIs.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Communicate engineering best practices to the team.
  • Write engineering requirements documents.
  • Help architect internal standards and frameworks.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a software engineering role.
  • Full-stack engineering experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, or Python.
  • Experience with software engineering best practices, including design patterns, code reviews, and unit and integration testing.
  • Ability to communicate technical specifications clearly in both verbal and written form.
  • Understanding of security, common attacks, and defenses.
  • Experience shipping features behind an A/B testing or feature flag platform such as Optimizely.
  • Command of front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React.
  • Familiarity with optimizing Core Web Vitals and page loading performance.
  • Experience building complex systems from the ground up and working with backend architectural patterns in large, high-scale web applications.
  • Knowledge of mobile-first responsive styling methodologies.
  • Experience with third-party lifecycle communication infrastructure such as Iterable, Twilio, Salesforce, and Regal.
  • Strong CS fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of build system configuration and setup, such as Webpack.
  • Experience with infrastructure, distributed systems, and deploying apps into a high-scale environment with logging and monitoring technologies.
  • Experience using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot to improve productivity.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $96,000 - $169,000 per year.
  • Bonus and equity are mentioned as part of total compensation, though not included in the base salary range.
  • Hybrid schedule with at least 2 days in the office and 3 days remote each week.
  • Opportunity to relocate to San Francisco if desired.
