Description

  • Develop and execute a holistic security strategy spanning cybersecurity, blockchain security, physical security, and operational security.
  • Oversee blockchain and smart contract security, including audits, formal verification, secure key management, and exploit prevention.
  • Build and enforce cybersecurity controls such as threat detection, secure DevOps practices, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Manage physical security operations, including access control, surveillance, executive protection, travel risk assessments, and site audits.
  • Drive compliance and regulatory alignment, including preparation for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits and regulator interactions.
  • Establish incident response and crisis management plans, run simulations and drills, and lead rapid recovery efforts.
  • Foster a security-first culture through training, workshops, and security-by-design practices across teams.
  • Lead, hire, mentor, and scale the security team, including security engineers and potentially physical security specialists.
  • Implement real-time monitoring, threat intelligence, and security performance metrics for digital and physical assets.
  • Manage security budgets, vendors, and resources while anticipating emerging threats and future product needs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in security leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity, physical security, and risk management, preferably in fintech, crypto, or high-tech environments.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies.
  • Experience with blockchain/DeFi security, including smart contract auditing and cryptographic protocols.
  • Experience with physical protections such as executive security and facility assessments.
  • Strong leadership experience building and mentoring high-performing teams and coordinating cross-functionally.
  • Expertise in incident response, crisis management, threat intelligence, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and AML/KYC.
  • Proficiency in secure software development and infrastructure security, including cloud, Kubernetes, and AWS.
  • Experience with monitoring, automation, and vulnerability mitigation tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for technical, executive, regulator, and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic, adaptable, and proactive approach to risk management.
  • Experience with security budget and vendor management.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are a plus.
  • Familiarity with DeFi-specific risks and technologies is highly desirable.
