Description

  • Own the platform engineering strategy and align infrastructure priorities with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a lean team of 1-2 DevOps engineers while building a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high availability, reliability, and monitoring for critical systems such as APIs and databases.
  • Lead high-priority infrastructure initiatives, define roadmaps, and drive execution to completion.
  • Design and implement scalable platform architecture using cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code, and container orchestration.
  • Contribute hands-on as a staff/principal-level engineer by writing code and solving complex technical problems.
  • Improve deployment pipelines, release processes, and developer self-service tooling to increase engineering productivity.
  • Implement security, compliance, and DevSecOps practices to support standards such as SOC 2 and GDPR.
  • Apply FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs, performance, and scalability during peak usage.
  • Strengthen incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in platform engineering and cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, especially Terraform.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Datadog.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve infrastructure gaps proactively with ownership and urgency.
  • Track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience mentoring and scaling high-performing DevOps teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in cryptocurrency and centralized exchange (CEX) trading environments.
  • Experience building highly available, resilient, low-latency, high-throughput systems.
  • Experience with trading systems is a bonus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.
