Description

  • Develop full-stack software using TypeScript, MySQL, React, and Next.js.
  • Direct AI coding agents to accelerate development while maintaining a production-quality codebase.
  • Own features from the idea phase through production release.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and other cross-functional teammates.
  • Contribute to Ethena’s growing product surface area and engineering operations.
  • Help design simple and elegant system solutions for web applications.
  • Work independently in a hands-off environment and proactively drive work forward.
  • Build and maintain software sustainably using modern engineering practices such as Git, CI/CD, migrations, logging, and monitoring.

Requirements

  • Experience building and maintaining high-quality web applications, especially in a B2B context.
  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, MySQL, React, Next.js, and AWS.
  • Extensive experience shipping software sustainably with Git, CI/CD, database migrations, logging, monitoring, and infrastructure considerations.
  • A strong understanding of AI coding agents and how to use them effectively without sacrificing quality.
  • A knack for simple and elegant system design.
  • Ability to thrive in a self-directed, ambiguity-heavy startup environment.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a willingness to take initiative and solve problems with minimal oversight.
  • Passion for Ethena’s mission and alignment with its core values, including a strong sense of humor.
  • Comfort working remotely from the United States or Canada.
  • No employer visa sponsorship available for this role.

Benefits

  • $180,000 - $200,000 USD annual salary, or $231,000 - $256,000 CAD annually for candidates in Canada.
  • Equity compensation in addition to base salary.
  • Unlimited PTO.
