Description

  • Deliver end-to-end infrastructure setups across regions and colocations, including bring-up, validation, and go-live readiness.
  • Own the systems layer of the stack, including Linux servers, OS baselines, automation, configuration, and performance tuning.
  • Run and improve testing and validation activities such as connectivity checks, load and performance tests, failure testing, and readiness checklists.
  • Investigate complex issues and bottlenecks across OS, kernel, drivers, and dependencies, and drive fixes with internal peers and external vendors.
  • Build repeatable automation and rollout playbooks using Terraform, Ansible, scripting, and operational standards.
  • Improve observability through metrics, logs, dashboards, alert tuning, and latency and performance baselines.
  • Strengthen operations through runbooks, incident reviews, change hygiene, and documentation.
  • Participate in scheduled on-call rotations to support trading infrastructure and incident response.

Requirements

  • Hands-on production experience with Linux and systems troubleshooting.
  • Ability to debug across layers and coordinate effectively with network and hardware engineers.
  • Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing basics, MTU, and packet loss or jitter symptoms.
  • Automation mindset with bash or Python; Terraform and Ansible experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for status updates and documentation.
  • Passion for technology and continuous learning.
  • Low-latency or performance tuning experience, such as CPU/IRQ affinity or NIC tuning, is preferred.
  • Colocation or provider coordination experience, including setups, acceptance, and troubleshooting, is preferred.
  • Time synchronization basics with NTP or PTP and their impact on production systems are preferred.
  • Interest or experience in trading, exchange, or broker connectivity is preferred.
