Description

  • Directly oversee and manage high-stakes, multi-jurisdictional disputes, including commercial litigation, international arbitration, and financial recovery cases.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in jurisdictions including the UAE, UK, EU, and HK.
  • Independently manage and direct all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Coordinate with local counsel across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Prepare legal memoranda, briefs, internal communications, and status reports.
  • Conduct document reviews and manage e-discovery processes.
  • Assist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses and other professionals to build strong cases.
  • Develop and maintain case files, litigation calendars, legal templates, and research databases.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law.
  • 7-10 years of litigation or dispute resolution experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Strong analytical and legal research skills, with proficiency in legal databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents.
  • Solid understanding of civil procedure, rules of evidence, and local court rules.
  • Proficiency in e-discovery platforms and litigation support software.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Practical knowledge of Google Workspace, Notion, and LLMs.
  • Experience in commercial litigation (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution processes (nice to have).
  • Experience with case management software and legal project management tools (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of legal technology and its application in litigation practice (nice to have).
  • Prior experience in document review and e-discovery management (nice to have).
  • Willingness to travel as needed for court appearances, depositions, or external counsel meetings (nice to have).
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required by case demands (nice to have).
  • Commitment to ongoing legal education and staying current with relevant laws and regulations (nice to have).
