Description

  • Serve as the primary expert resource and first point of contact for clients on coverage, eligibility, contractual issues, and government reporting compliance.
  • Analyze client data for new and renewal business, including census data, experience data, and contractual insurance requirements.
  • Conduct market comparisons, gather quotes, and evaluate insurance rates and renewal information.
  • Partner with senior executives and managers to develop and recommend benefit strategies, including coverage options and exclusions.
  • Negotiate premium and commission rates on behalf of clients with authority to represent EPIC’s interests.
  • Provide marketing and new business development support through proposals, presentations, and participation in prospect and client meetings.
  • Develop new business for an assigned book of business.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships and collaborate with producers and internal team members on service delivery strategies.
  • Lead employee communication and open enrollment processes.
  • Manage workflow, maintain accurate documentation in agency management systems, and meet deadlines with professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent related experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Account Manager with a benefits consulting or brokerage firm, or comparable experience with a medical carrier.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and presentation software.
  • California Life and Health License required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Professional designations such as CEBS, BGA, PHR, or CLU preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience working with benefit products, regulatory compliance, and government reporting preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, exercise discretion, and maintain a professional image.

  • Hourly pay range of $53.84 to $56.41 per hour.
  • Standard 37.5-hour workweek.
