Description

  • Review and analyze criminal records and background check data to assess applicant eligibility and mitigate client risk.
  • Execute the manual criminal review process accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other federal and state consumer reporting regulations.
  • Respond to client and consumer inquiries by phone and email regarding screening results and processes.
  • Guide clients and consumers on next steps in the screening process.
  • Provide accurate, timely updates on open tasks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Meet strict deadlines and service-level agreements while prioritizing workload effectively.
  • Support teammates with workload management and problem resolution.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and team meetings.
  • Use approved GenAI tools while auditing outputs for accuracy and protecting proprietary and personally identifiable information.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established rules, regulations, and processes.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional, collaborative approach to internal and external stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to manage and de-escalate high-stress phone conversations.
  • Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and accept coaching.
  • Experience handling sensitive information (preferred).
  • Experience managing difficult conversations or delivering unfavorable decisions, multi-family housing experience, or a bachelor’s degree (preferred).
