Description

  • Build and maintain automated test suites for functional UI flows derived from user stories and UX specifications.
  • Integrate automated accessibility testing to help ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across UI changes.
  • Set up and manage visual regression testing to detect unintended changes against approved design baselines.
  • Participate in grooming sessions to review acceptance criteria and define test scenarios early in the development cycle.
  • Maintain and update a living test suite as UX designs and product requirements evolve.
  • Execute smoke tests and provide clear go/no-go recommendations.
  • Log defects with reproducible steps, screenshots, and trace files, and track issues through resolution.
  • Report test coverage, defect trends, and automation health to the project team.

Requirements

  • Solid hands-on experience with a browser automation framework such as Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
  • TypeScript or JavaScript preferred.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe-core, IBM Equal Access, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1.
  • Experience with visual regression testing tools such as Applitools Eyes, Percy, or comparable solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret UX/UI design specs such as Figma or Storybook to derive test cases.
  • Comfortable working in agile/scrum environments, including grooming, sprint reviews, and daily standups.
  • Strong defect reporting and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions without close oversight.
  • Track record of scaling or improving an automation strategy, not just maintaining one.
  • Preferred: experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Preferred: familiarity with design tokens and component-level visual testing.
  • Preferred: knowledge of manual accessibility validation using screen readers such as NVDA, VoiceOver, or JAWS.
  • Preferred: experience with API test automation for REST/GraphQL using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
