Description

  • Lead a high-performing engineering team with a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and rapid execution.
  • Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of engineering projects, including delivery, quality, security, and scalability.
  • Drive experimentation, iteration, and data-informed decision-making to improve customer activation, engagement, and expansion.
  • Partner closely with product, data, and design to identify opportunities that increase time-to-value and product adoption.
  • Act as the bridge between engineering and other teams, translating technical concepts for business stakeholders and leadership.
  • Improve engineering efficiency through agile methodologies, best practices, automation, and advanced workflows.
  • Build data-driven, consumer-grade solutions that anticipate traveler needs and support business growth.
  • Raise the talent bar by mentoring builders and helping the team solve complex marketplace challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on high-velocity execution and performance.
  • Ability to manage complex priorities and communicate clearly across teams.
  • Technical foundation in some or all of Node.js, Ruby on Rails, React, AWS (Lambda/Terraform), and Datadog.
  • Experience using tools like Claude and Cursor to accelerate delivery and improve observability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Deep understanding of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Strategic, results-driven, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.

  • Competitive base salary of $155,000 to $215,000 USD.
