Description

  • Lead and develop a hybrid team of internal engineers and external partners, setting expectations for delivery, quality, and accountability.
  • Own SAP S/4HANA development across enhancements, integrations, and upgrade activities.
  • Review and approve technical designs, code, and architecture to ensure alignment with Clean Core and SAP best practices.
  • Serve as the technical authority for ABAP (RAP), CDS, Fiori/UI5, and BTP-based extensions.
  • Champion a Clean Core strategy by minimizing custom code and shifting extensions to SAP BTP and side-by-side architectures.
  • Define and implement engineering standards across SAP and adjacent SaaS platforms such as Coupa and Salesforce.
  • Establish shared standards for SDLC, testing, documentation, and design artifacts across back-office systems.
  • Own and mature DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, environment management, and release orchestration.
  • Lead CAB and release governance processes to support stable, compliant deployments.
  • Oversee integration patterns across SAP and enterprise platforms, ensuring resilience, monitoring, and data integrity.
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging SAP and enterprise technologies, including SAP Build, BTP services, Joule, AI-driven capabilities, and automation.
  • Govern technical delivery quality from AMS and SI partners and align technical strategy with executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of SAP development experience, including 3–5+ years in a leadership or architectural role.
  • Deep expertise in S/4HANA and modern SAP development, including ABAP RAP, CDS, and Fiori/UI5.
  • Experience with SAP BTP extensions, BAS, and related services.
  • Strong understanding of Clean Core principles and upgrade-safe architecture.
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Proven ability to lead development teams across global and vendor models.
  • Experience establishing or scaling DevOps practices, including CI/CD, testing, and release management.
  • Ability to work across both SAP and SaaS ecosystems with a systems-thinking mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience in post-go-live SAP AMS environments and optimization phases.
  • Preferred exposure to enterprise SaaS platforms such as Coupa and Salesforce.
  • Preferred familiarity with testing tools such as Tricentis and enterprise monitoring frameworks.
  • Preferred background in data platforms or analytics, including SAC, Datasphere, or Snowflake.
  • Shift timing: 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM IST, extendable as needed.
