Description

  • Provide internal IT support to staff and troubleshoot hardware, software, and service issues.
  • Analyze internal IT workflows and systems to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop tools and scripts to automate routine IT resource management and provisioning tasks.
  • Assist with administration and configuration of devices using MDM and cloud platforms such as Mosyle, Microsoft Intune, AWS, and GCP.
  • Help set up monitoring and alerting for internal systems to maintain high availability.
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT systems, setups, and user troubleshooting guides.
  • Track and document internal IT assets, hardware, and software licenses.
  • Prepare summary reports on IT support trends, tool performance, and future roadmap recommendations.
  • Work with the security team to address internal system security issues and respond to incidents.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field at a university in Maryland.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Basic understanding of IT troubleshooting, operating systems, and core IT principles, with macOS preferred.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work 10–20 hours per week.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required.
  • Must reside in the Continental US, preferably in Maryland.
  • HUBZone residents are strongly encouraged to apply.
