Description

  • Manage complex client projects, including workplans, budgets, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Advise clients and build capacity through technical assistance and project support.
  • Develop high-quality client deliverables such as landscape analyses, reports, memos, and facilitation plans.
  • Diagnose root causes of client challenges and design equitable, effective, and innovative solutions.
  • Develop and adapt project plans to reflect changing client needs and requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge management across multiple workstreams and capture project insights for internal and client use.
  • Build trusting relationships with high-profile education clients and support repeat engagement opportunities.
  • Design and facilitate effective client meetings that advance project outcomes and decision-making.
  • Lead inclusive project teams, support collaboration, and coach colleagues through feedback and professional development.
  • Stay current on K-12 policy trends, research, and emerging best practices, including AI applications in education.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and implementing education policies that improve P-20 outcomes in school districts, reform organizations, foundations, or state education agencies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of these areas: instructional systems and aligned assessment, strategic staffing systems, or college and career pathways.
  • Proficiency with AI, including identifying use cases, improving work quality and efficiency, integrating AI into workflows, and using it responsibly.
  • Strong project management experience, including managing multiple complex projects, workplans, budgets, risks, deadlines, and targets.
  • Ability to synthesize technical literature, qualitative research, data, and findings into clear recommendations and presentations.
  • Experience managing people, especially across different career stages and diverse backgrounds.
  • Working knowledge of public education trends, AI trends, common school-system tools, and AI-informed instructional design/professional learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Deep facilitation experience with a range of stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to create polished, well-organized client-facing PowerPoint presentations and lead through ambiguity.
  • Experience leading by influence, collaborating broadly, and giving and receiving feedback effectively.

  • Salary of $134,000, with a possible 1%–5% location-based supplement for higher-cost cities.
