Description

  • Build ECP Intelligence’s agent tool surface, retrieval and context layer, model-serving path, evaluation system, and initial agent workflows.
  • Design systems that allow agents to act as specific users within their permissions through shared identity and domain services.
  • Take ownership of shared authentication, identity, data, messaging, and other platform components used by delivery teams.
  • Define interfaces, document behavior, and clarify boundaries between legacy ColdFusion systems and newer services.
  • Advance the event bus by improving adoption, adding contract testing, and supporting it as a dependable platform capability.
  • Design and implement new services using Node, TypeScript, domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and AWS.
  • Develop systems that handle regulated clinical data and demonstrate what AI agents can and cannot do.
  • Support production systems used by other teams and help establish platform priorities and architectural direction.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams while mentoring engineers as the platform organization grows.

Requirements

  • Experience building and owning shared components or platform services relied on by multiple engineering teams; this is not a first platform role.
  • Deep experience with domain-driven design and event-driven architecture, including bounded contexts and anti-corruption layers.
  • Experience building production systems behind AI features using messy, governed, or regulated data; model development is not the focus.
  • Experience carrying on-call responsibility for systems other teams depended on.
  • Breadth across multiple programming languages and paradigms, with substantial depth in at least one.
  • Strong data modeling and query-performance experience under production load.
  • Regular use of AI-augmented development with sound judgment about when human review is required.
  • Preferred: experience delivering meaningful customer-facing AI features beyond chatbots.
  • Preferred: experience with PHI or other regulated data in AI or analytics systems and multi-tenant SaaS with tenant isolation.
  • Preferred: experience with Node.js, TypeScript, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS, legacy migrations, contract testing, or service virtualization.
