Description

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand systems and cloud infrastructure requirements.
  • Design and implement end-to-end systems that align with business objectives and technical constraints.
  • Create detailed system specifications covering hardware, software, and network components.
  • Coordinate integration of hardware, software, cloud, and network elements into comprehensive systems.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and testing of system components.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system performance and interoperability.
  • Identify system risks and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate security threats and failures.
  • Implement cloud-native DevOps and CI/CD solutions based on application requirements.
  • Establish backup and recovery procedures, create user manuals and operational documentation, and serve as primary and secondary on-call engineer on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, networking, cloud infrastructure, and software development concepts.
  • Proficiency in systems and cloud infrastructure design tools, configuration management, and monitoring systems.
  • Strong demonstrable proficiency in Linux and operating systems layer troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and based in the United States.
  • Experience working in a fully qualified, journey-level professional role (preferred).
