Description

  • Co-lead a cross-functional pod with Product and Marketing to define strategy, success metrics, and an execution roadmap for performance marketing.
  • Build and evolve systems that power paid growth at scale, including creative experiment frameworks, audience and signal ingestion, privacy-safe list management, budget and bid optimization, and attribution pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data science and machine learning partners to design experiments, apply personalization and targeting, and turn insights into product and revenue improvements.
  • Own planning and execution for revenue-impacting projects, including milestone setting, metric selection, and risk management.
  • Bring technical and product judgment to new ideas and enable rapid hypothesis testing while preserving reliability, observability, and maintainability.
  • Set and uphold engineering quality standards that improve reliability, scalability, and operability across ads systems.
  • Coach and develop engineers while fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Partner closely with product, design, data science, machine learning, and marketing teams to deliver results.

Requirements

  • Experience leading, managing, and building a team of software engineers.
  • Track record of owning multi-engineer, multi-week technical projects to successful outcomes in a highly experimental, data-driven environment.
  • Strong product instincts and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience aligning diverse stakeholders across engineering, product, design, and analytics.
  • Experience working closely with data, experimentation, or machine learning teams to inform prioritization and deliver measurable impact.
  • Ability to raise the bar on engineering practices for reliability, scalability, and observability.
  • Prior experience with advertising platforms, ad tech integrations, or building ad surfaces in mobile apps is preferred.
  • Experience improving ad quality and monetization through experimentation, targeting, or programmatic levers is preferred.
  • Familiarity with COPPA-compliant or kid-friendly ad solutions and the trade-offs of untargeted inventory is preferred.
  • Background collaborating with sales or business operations on direct or programmatic campaigns and translating market feedback into product improvements is preferred.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple platforms, such as iOS, Android, and backend, is preferred.
  • Experience partnering on ML-powered personalization within consumer apps is preferred.
