Description

  • Build infrastructure that manages metadata for hundreds of billions of files, hundreds of petabytes of user data, and millions of concurrent connections.
  • Lead the expansion of Dropbox as a data fabric connecting hundreds of millions of applications, devices, and services globally.
  • Measure and optimize Dropbox's analytics platform to support advanced insight generation from large data volumes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the performance, reliability, and security of Dropbox's infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve current projects and implement changes that can affect broader business initiatives.
  • Navigate ambiguous situations and help steer projects toward successful outcomes.
  • Provide occasional on-call support to address bugs, outages, and other operational issues.
  • Set medium-to-long-term strategy for business-impacting infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven experience building and managing large, multi-threaded, geographically distributed backend systems.
  • Proficiency in programming and debugging with Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.
  • Experience with operating system internals, filesystems, databases, networks, and compilers is advantageous.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and solve open-ended problems.
  • Ability to take ownership of long-term projects and carry them through to completion.
  • Ability to define medium-to-long-term strategy for business-impacting projects.
  • Experience defining technical roadmaps for a team is preferred.

Benefits

  • Poland pay range of 333,200 zł to 450,800 zł PLN.
