Description

  • Lead the team while balancing urgency with the high quality bar expected by customers and the broader Dropbox organization.
  • Craft and communicate a compelling long-term design strategy and vision.
  • Lead the design process from problem definition through design implementation.
  • Partner closely with leadership across product, engineering, research, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to define and execute impactful products.
  • Work closely with design leadership to ensure a cohesive customer experience across all products.
  • Build a team of best-in-class designers focused on customers and able to move fast in a highly ambiguous environment.
  • Foster a healthy, collaborative culture that reflects Dropbox’s values.
  • Help continue developing Dropbox as one of the best places to work.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of professional experience leading or managing a design team.
  • A portfolio of relevant design work that demonstrates shipping successful products customers love.
  • A customer-centered approach to designing products for people.
  • A hands-on, self-starter leadership style with high ownership and the ability to think strategically and dive deep.
  • Deep experience working with product managers, engineering, and marketing to drive vision, strategy, and execution.
  • Comfortable juggling a wide range of responsibilities at the same time.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach to working with others.
  • Experience with both scaled SaaS products and pre-PMF or 0→1 efforts (preferred).
  • Success leading the thoughtful integration of generative design tools, LLMs, and computational design methodologies into creative workflows while preserving team autonomy and elevating design quality (preferred).
