Description

  • Build and improve product features for Driftrock’s B2B marketing platform using an Elixir and LiveView stack.
  • Work closely with other engineers to deliver high-quality changes to production several times a day.
  • Challenge roadmap decisions and help define the how and why behind core product and new features.
  • Contribute to a small, collaborative engineering team and help other developers grow their skills.
  • Participate in a lean delivery process with weekly planning, continuous improvement, and frequent releases.
  • Use data to assess the value of work for customers and inform product and technical decisions.
  • Help improve the team’s culture, engineering practices, and communication across the wider company.
  • Support the quality, security, observability, and reliability of the platform.
  • Work on event-driven architecture improvements to support growing data volumes and workloads.
  • Contribute to style guide improvements, rebranding work, and LiveView-based UX enhancements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of strong backend engineering experience.
  • Some experience with basic web development languages or frameworks, including LiveView and SSR with TailwindCSS.
  • Professional experience in Elixir or a similar language, with a strong drive to learn Elixir.
  • A desire to continuously improve technical, communication, and other soft skills.
  • Experience working in a small team and collaborating closely with engineers and other functions.
  • Ability to contribute diverse viewpoints and make technical decisions comfortably.
  • Interest in agile practices such as continuous delivery, TDD, pair programming, code reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Some experience mentoring engineers and helping create a productive team environment.
  • A commitment to high standards of quality and security in software delivery.
  • Ability to work in the same timezone as the rest of the team, with flexibility.
