Description

  • Lead and mentor a distributed team of 8 experienced engineers.
  • Write production-grade code as a hands-on contributor.
  • Guide the engineering team through delivery of a new SaaS product to market.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide structure, direction, and execution for experienced engineers without micromanaging them.
  • Collaborate closely with executive management on product direction.
  • Support agile development practices and CI/CD-driven delivery.
  • Help shape the technical approach for a Windows-based stack using C++/.NET, .NET Core, and Blazor.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on C#/.NET.
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role, preferably in small company environments.
  • Proven experience managing remote or outsourced teams of 5-10 people.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS architecture and cloud-native design patterns.
  • Strong hands-on coding ability, with the role split approximately 50% coding and 50% leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.
  • Comfortable leading experienced engineers who need structure and direction rather than micromanagement.
  • Available for the daily standup at 9:15 AM PST, with flexible hours outside that core meeting time.
  • Experience in data protection, backup, or recovery is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Product-Led Growth tools and strategies is preferred.
  • Experience with Blazor or other modern front-end frameworks is preferred.
  • Background in startup or high-growth environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of C++ is preferred.
  • Linux experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of how AI can improve development workflows, including code generation and correction tools, is preferred.
