Description

  • Monitor security alerts and events across multiple client environments using SIEM, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, and related MSP security tools.
  • Perform initial investigation and triage of potential security incidents and escalate cases according to established protocols.
  • Document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in MSP ticketing systems.
  • Support incident response activities, including containment, root cause analysis, and remediation coordination.
  • Communicate incident status, follow-up actions, and security recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and tuning security monitoring and alerts.
  • Follow MSP security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to support consistent service delivery.
  • Work on a 24x7 rotating roster, including nights, weekends, public holidays, and other off-hours coverage.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a SOC or security analyst role, preferably in an MSP or similar environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Rapid7 InsightIDR, Splunk, or QRadar.
  • Experience with endpoint detection platforms.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, Windows and Linux operating systems, and common security threats.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a 24x7 shift roster, including off-hours and public holidays.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified SOC Analyst (CSA), or equivalent are advantageous.
