Description

  • Assess existing Aruba, NAC, and authentication environments to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Design ClearPass, Aruba Central, and wired and wireless access-control solutions for broader network redesigns.
  • Evaluate Classic Central and New Central architecture, hardware compatibility, firmware dependencies, and NAC requirements.
  • Deploy and configure ClearPass Policy Manager and Aruba Central, including authentication services, policies, and integrations.
  • Implement 802.1X, MAC authentication, guest access, device profiling, posture assessment, and role-based policy enforcement.
  • Integrate NAC solutions with identity, networking, and security platforms, including Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, MDM, firewalls, and SIEM tools.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions, test configurations, and validate technical requirements before deployment.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, policy enforcement, and network connectivity issues through controlled changes and testing.
  • Lead customer workshops, communicate recommendations and risks, and coordinate implementation, cutover, and rollback planning.
  • Produce technical designs, configuration records, as-built documentation, and handover materials.

Requirements

  • Level 3 expertise in HPE Aruba Networking with recent hands-on enterprise deployment experience in ClearPass and Aruba Central.
  • Proven experience delivering multiple NAC engagements from assessment and design through configuration, validation, and implementation.
  • Production experience implementing and troubleshooting 802.1X authentication on Aruba platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager and Aruba Central, including deployment, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of Classic Central and New Central, including platform differences, hardware capabilities, and firmware dependencies.
  • Experience with EAP methods, RADIUS, TACACS+, MAC authentication, wired and wireless access control, device profiling, posture assessment, guest access, and role-based policies.
  • Experience integrating NAC with enterprise identity, networking, and security platforms.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, MDM, firewalls, and SIEM platforms.
  • Ability to independently assess environments, manage technical changes, maintain configuration records, and lead technical workshops.
  • Relevant HPE Aruba certification such as ACCP, ACMP, ACCX, or an equivalent current qualification (preferred).
