Description

  • Serve as overflow support to multiple practices by answering and working incoming calls and messages.
  • Answer and triage incoming phone calls and app messages from current patients.
  • Act as the second line of support for incoming calls from new patients.
  • Answer calls from external stakeholders, including provider offices and referral sources.
  • Check and respond to voicemail and after-hours messages.
  • Schedule patients from incoming phone calls.
  • Conduct no-show and cancellation follow-up.
  • Support schedule reshuffles when providers are called out.
  • Work through appointment ticklers and support central communications intake and follow-up through various channels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of medical receptionist or customer service experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems in various situations.
  • Must have the ability to multitask.
  • Must be available Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
  • Experience supporting patient scheduling or medical office operations is preferred.
  • Outgoing, detail-oriented, and able to work with empathy and creativity is preferred.
