Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js.
  • Optimize data-processing pipelines by migrating workflows from Pandas to Polars.
  • Implement file read, write, and processing workflows for Parquet data.
  • Design and orchestrate processing flows using AWS Lambda and AWS Batch.
  • Develop scalable and secure APIs for data consumption and exposure.
  • Design data models and optimize MongoDB queries.
  • Participate in backend and cloud architecture decisions.
  • Perform code reviews and enforce best practices for development, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to define requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development in production environments.
  • Strong experience with Python for backend development and data processing.
  • Experience working with Pandas and practical knowledge of Polars for migration or optimization.
  • Experience with AWS Lambda and AWS Batch.
  • Experience developing backend services with Node.js.
  • Experience working with Parquet files.
  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB, including data modeling and queries.
  • Experience optimizing performance and handling large volumes of data.
  • Experience working with Docker and cloud environments.
  • Preferred: experience integrating solutions with Appian.
  • Preferred: knowledge of microservices and asynchronous communication patterns such as SQS and SNS.
