Description

  • Own the Arcade Design System end-to-end, from Figma source of truth through token architecture to production.
  • Define and maintain the design token system for color, spacing, elevation, and typography across themes and modes.
  • Drive Figma library governance, including versioning, contribution models, and release cadence.
  • Collaborate with engineers on component APIs, prop contracts, and migration paths.
  • Document recurring patterns and questions to enable self-service and reduce ad-hoc fixes.
  • Identify inconsistent solutions across teams and propose unified system patterns.
  • Mentor L1-L3 designers through workshops, education sessions, and structured critique.
  • Ensure components and system decisions scale coherently across the broader platform.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of product design experience, with significant time in design systems, component libraries, or platform/infrastructure design.
  • Expert-level Figma skills, including component architecture, variants, variables, and library management at scale.
  • Comfort working with design tokens, CSS custom properties, and component APIs such as React or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of token architecture, including hierarchies, naming conventions, and semantic structures.
  • Experience working closely with engineering on component migration, API design, or design-to-code pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to own outcomes and drive systemic improvements or migrations to completion.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset and the ability to identify structural problems across a product.
  • Ability to consider component context, prop contracts, token dependencies, Figma structure, and migration paths together.
  • Experience influencing adoption through empathy, responsiveness, and support for internal design system users.
