Description

  • Own and enhance core product features across the React frontend and Python/Node backend.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver elegant, high-performance solutions.
  • Design and maintain APIs, data models, and PostgreSQL database schemas.
  • Integrate AI/ML pipelines for PDF parsing, document insights, and automated submittal review.
  • Work closely with users and customers to understand construction workflows and improve the platform.
  • Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews and pair programming.
  • Promote best practices across the engineering team.
  • Help shape solutions that deliver real value to users in a startup environment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend development experience with Python and/or Node.js.
  • Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, or NLP workflows, including professional work or strong personal projects.
  • Experience contributing to early-stage products or building applications from scratch.
  • Strong execution mindset with the ability to take requirements and deliver without heavy guidance.
  • Comfort working in a startup environment with evolving requirements.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, backend architecture, and data handling.
  • Experience with LangChain or similar LLM application frameworks is desirable.
  • Familiarity with deploying models to Google Cloud Run or similar environments is desirable.
  • Experience working with 2D PDFs is desirable.
  • Resume/CV must be submitted in English.
