Description

  • Own React usage across the codebase, including migrations, systemic fixes, and performance improvements.
  • Evolve and scale the design system and component library in partnership with Design.
  • Profile, diagnose, and resolve client-side performance bottlenecks.
  • Establish performance budgets, instrumentation, metrics dashboards, and framework-level performance patterns.
  • Own frontend testing strategy and drive improvements across the codebase.
  • Write playbooks and documentation, deliver technical talks, and create tooling to improve developer productivity.
  • Pair with product engineers and guide adoption of platform improvements.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to improve shared frontend infrastructure and code health.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional frontend or full-stack engineering experience.
  • Deep expertise in React and the modern React ecosystem, including hooks, concurrent features, and Suspense.
  • Experience on a platform, infrastructure, or developer experience team.
  • Strong understanding of client-side performance, including React DevTools, Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, bundle analysis, and runtime tuning.
  • Hands-on experience building or significantly contributing to a design system or component library at scale.
  • Expertise in TypeScript and modern frontend build tooling.
  • Familiarity with state management approaches in large React applications.
  • Track record of mentoring, guiding, and influencing other engineers through documentation, pairing, code review, or internal tooling.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to propose technical direction and build consensus.
  • Preferred: Experience with monorepo tooling, including testing strategies and build systems.
  • Preferred: Background in accessibility, including WCAG and ARIA patterns.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with CI/CD optimization for frontend builds and test pipelines.
  • Preferred: Experience with Electron or desktop web-hybrid applications.
  • Preferred: Contributions to open-source design systems, React libraries, or developer tooling.
  • Must include the word "analog" as the first word in the cover letter.
