Description

  • Own the API and developer experience for content workflows at scale.
  • Build the platform that enables programmatic media import, AI-powered editing, and content export.
  • Launch integrations such as MCP wrappers, no-code workflow platforms, and strategic partner integrations.
  • Work with the Agentic AI team to define which editing capabilities are exposed through the API.
  • Shape the positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy for the business line with Sales and Marketing.
  • Define the product direction for a new automated video editing category.
  • Turn Descript’s editing capabilities into infrastructure that media businesses can depend on.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of product management experience shipping internal APIs, developer platforms, or foundational systems.
  • Experience shipping technical products before.
  • Experience taking products from 0 to 1 and operating in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Experience with customer discovery and defining features that solve real customer problems.
  • Ability to build new products from scratch.
  • Comfort working on an emerging, undefined product category.
  • A customer-first mindset.
  • A quirky, creative, and collaborative fit with Descript’s culture is preferred.
  • Must include the word "analog" as the first word in the cover letter.
