Description

  • Manage a team of 5–6 software engineers and partner with product, design, engineering, and AI leadership to deliver product experiences.
  • Own team execution by prioritizing work, aligning stakeholders, adapting plans, and driving follow-through to meet delivery goals.
  • Define team direction by translating customer needs, product vision, and technical realities into clear priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Recruit, mentor, and grow engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Provide clear feedback, create stretch opportunities, and address underperformance early.
  • Drive operational excellence through predictable, reliable, and sustainable project management and engineering processes.
  • Guide architectural decisions, evaluate design tradeoffs, and address technical debt that slows execution.
  • Improve quality and reliability across existing product surfaces while delivering next iterations of those experiences.
  • Partner with AI Research and Enablement teams to prioritize, train, evaluate, and deliver AI models that power content creation.
  • Collaborate closely with AI infrastructure and research teams to integrate internal and external models into creator workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years of engineering management experience.
  • Experience delivering complex, cross-functional product work with high velocity and quality.
  • Strong ability to hire, develop, and retain engineering talent.
  • Ability to think deeply about customers and contribute informed product opinions.
  • Strong technical background with the judgment to guide architecture and evaluate tradeoffs without being hands-on day to day.
  • Clear communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into technical metrics and use data to guide prioritization.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing AI tools and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Preferred: experience building creative tools or being a frequent user of creative media tools.
  • Preferred: experience defining strategic technical quality metrics and driving results against them.
