Description

  • Develop significant features for Java applications that integrate with SAP.
  • Identify solutions that meet business needs for internal and client projects.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and optimize application performance.
  • Apply best practices in coding, testing, and design patterns.
  • Participate in architecture and infrastructure planning, including API design and database schema decisions.
  • Break specifications into tasks and stories to support sprint workflows.
  • Research solutions independently and escalate appropriately when needed.
  • Lead by example in code reviews, pull request cadence, and testing practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers where applicable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver projects successfully.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working in production Java applications with Spring Boot.
  • Experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA, Cloud for Credit, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), and SAP UI5 is required.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles.
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable systems on AWS.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor as part of the development workflow.
  • Working knowledge of performance optimization and security best practices.
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node, HTML, and CSS is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with credit or financial systems is a plus.
  • Experience working with Cloud Foundry is a plus.
  • Ability to overlap at least 4 hours with Eastern US time zone hours.
