Description

  • Lead end-to-end architecture for complex backend and distributed systems, including deployment, monitoring, incident response, and post-incident learning.
  • Own technical workstreams, resolve blockers, and drive delivery with minimal oversight.
  • Document technical scope, requirements, estimates, timelines, risks, and project gaps.
  • Advise clients through presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and technical consultations.
  • Evaluate proposed work against client value and recommend pragmatic tradeoffs.
  • Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and design guidance.
  • Lead project teams of 2–5 individual contributors and collaborate with project managers, designers, and other disciplines.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience writing software used in real-world applications.
  • 3+ years of Python development experience with deep expertise across multiple technical stacks.
  • Expert knowledge of backend architecture, API design, system design, microservices, and serverless patterns.
  • Familiarity with agent development and working knowledge of LLM concepts and cost, relevance, and speed tradeoffs.
  • Experience using GenAI development tools such as Gemini CLI, Claude Code, or Codex.
  • Experience integrating APIs and external systems into end-user applications.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database platforms.
  • Working knowledge of modern web frameworks, preferably Angular and TypeScript.
  • Experience with a major cloud provider; Google Cloud preferred, with AWS or Azure also accepted.
  • Hands-on Docker, version control, Agile, and CI/CD experience.
  • Strong client communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder-influence skills.
  • Preferred: Google Agent Development Kit, Angular, digital agency or high-growth experience, people management, and hands-on distributed-systems architecture experience.
