Description

  • Direct the organization’s finance, accounting, operations, and human resources functions across multiple legal entities.
  • Serve as a strategic financial partner to the executive team with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and fiscal planning.
  • Lead cash flow management, banking relationships, and strategies to maintain healthy cash positions.
  • Maintain internal controls, compliance, and accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and applicable laws.
  • Oversee multi-entity accounting, including cost allocations, intercompany transactions, cash settlements, and consolidated financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and support grants administration for the Development team.
  • Lead the annual audit and prepare required filings, including Form 990, Form 990-T, Form 1120-POL, and state charity and PAC reports.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage financial systems and software to improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, business insurance, contracts, leases, and other operational compliance requirements.
  • Lead HR activities including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compensation strategy, policy implementation, and employee relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification is desirable.
  • 7+ years of progressive financial and operations leadership experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a multi-entity nonprofit environment.
  • Experience managing budgets over $10 million and extensive intercompany transactions.
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing HR functions, including benefits, compensation, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing IT and operations, including technology infrastructure, vendor management, and facilities.
  • Proven experience leading annual audits.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite accounting software.
  • Proficiency with Paylocity HCM software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex financial information for varied audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing educational equity and excellence for all students.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

  • Base salary range of $165,000 to $185,000.
