Description

  • Develop, operationalize, and continuously refine the Medical Affairs strategy in partnership with Medical Affairs leadership.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans, KPIs, and timelines.
  • Oversee departmental strategic planning processes and related operations for pipeline compounds.
  • Lead the organization, updating, and communication of strategic plans to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships with Clinical Development, HEOR, Commercial, finance, and other internal teams to align medical activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Medical Affairs SOPs and quality documentation to support compliant operations.
  • Work with Compliance, Regulatory, and Legal teams to develop materials aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Implement and refine governance frameworks for scientific review and medical communication standards.
  • Establish and oversee project management frameworks for Medical Affairs initiatives, including launches, clinical collaborations, evidence-generation programs, and scientific communications.
  • Monitor timelines, risks, deliverables, budgets, and resource needs, and report progress to leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure timely execution and integration of medical insights into decision-making.
  • Implement and optimize systems, tools, and technology solutions to improve productivity and data management.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of Medical Affairs operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between Global Medical Affairs and other departments to support smooth cross-regional operations and communication.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree required, such as PharmD, MD, DO, or PhD.
  • 10+ years of industry experience with high-level professional knowledge in Medical Affairs and R&D.
  • Experience in both pre-launch and post-launch Medical Affairs activities.
  • Psychiatry or CNS experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Early Access Programs (EAP) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and lead successful cross-functional teams in changing and competitive environments.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Global Medical Affairs functions and their interconnections with other departments.
  • Technical knowledge of Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, KOL mapping systems, or similar tools.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Starting base pay range of $269,204.00 to $295,000.00.
