Description

  • Own the security posture across Legacy, Trading Bot, and future platforms.
  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and threat modeling aligned with OWASP standards.
  • Perform security-focused code reviews across frontend, backend, and infrastructure code.
  • Implement and manage secrets management, access controls, and least-privilege policies.
  • Build and maintain incident response playbooks, lead response efforts, and drive post-mortems and fixes.
  • Design and implement test strategies across unit, integration, end-to-end, API, and regression testing.
  • Build automated testing frameworks and CI quality gates to prevent broken code from reaching production.
  • Define and track quality metrics such as coverage, flakiness, regression detection latency, and bug escape rate.
  • Test across the full stack, including frontend UI, backend APIs, databases, third-party integrations, and on-chain interactions.
  • Maintain and improve AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, alerting, and production reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in software engineering roles with meaningful, hands-on security and QA experience.
  • Fullstack development experience with frontend frameworks like React and backend languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
  • Hands-on penetration testing and vulnerability assessment experience across web applications, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong working knowledge of OWASP standards, including the OWASP Top 10, OWASP Testing Guide, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience building automated test frameworks and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • AWS expertise across services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudFront, and WAF.
  • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Scripting and automation proficiency in Bash and Python.
  • Experience with secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
  • Familiarity with security and testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Selenium, Cypress, Jest, and Postman.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining security risks and quality tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or AWS Security Specialty are preferred.
  • Experience at a crypto, DeFi, Web3, or fintech product company is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Web3-specific security concerns such as wallet security, key management, on-chain monitoring, and phishing mitigation is preferred.
  • SDET background or a hybrid development-and-testing role is preferred.
  • Experience testing financial systems such as payment flows, ledger integrity, double-spend prevention, or transaction monitoring is preferred.
  • Experience implementing zero-trust architectures is preferred.
  • Bug bounty participation, CVE publications, or open-source security tooling contributions are preferred.
