Description

Maintain and continuously enhance the compliance framework, including policies, procedures, internal controls, and governance arrangements.
Implement and oversee the annual compliance plan, including monitoring activities, thematic reviews, and board-level reporting.
Identify, assess, and escalate material compliance risks, breaches, and control weaknesses.
Embed compliance requirements into business processes, product governance, customer onboarding, and ongoing operations.
Provide regulatory interpretation, guidance, and practical advice on evolving requirements and their operational impact.
Support product development and business change initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance of new or modified offerings.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on regulatory matters, compliance risk exposure, and regulatory strategy.
Oversee second-line financial crime and AML/CFT controls and challenge first-line implementation against regulatory expectations.
Serve as a point of contact for regulatory authorities and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries.
Maintain regulatory change tracking, manage reporting obligations, and support compliance training and awareness across the organization.

Requirements

Professional qualification from an internationally recognised body such as ICA or ACAMS.
Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Law, Finance, or Business.
Deep knowledge of the EU regulatory environment and key financial crime regimes.
Practical knowledge of the French and EU regulatory environment, with knowledge of other EU markets welcome.
Track record of managing compliance in an entity operating across multiple EU borders.
Ability to translate complex legal text into actionable operational workflows for product and engineering teams.
Native-level fluency in French for communications, regulatory reporting, and legal interpretation.
Full professional proficiency in English for group-level communication and drafting policies and procedures.
Additional EU language skills, particularly German, are welcome.
