Description

  • Maintain and continuously enhance the compliance framework, including policies, procedures, internal controls, and governance arrangements.
  • Implement and oversee the annual compliance plan, including monitoring activities, thematic reviews, and board-level reporting.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate material compliance risks, breaches, and control weaknesses.
  • Embed compliance requirements into business processes, product governance, customer onboarding, and ongoing operations.
  • Provide regulatory interpretation, guidance, and practical advice on evolving requirements and their operational impact.
  • Support product development and business change initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance of new or modified offerings.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on regulatory matters, compliance risk exposure, and regulatory strategy.
  • Oversee second-line financial crime and AML/CFT controls and challenge first-line implementation against regulatory expectations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for regulatory authorities and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries.
  • Maintain regulatory change tracking, manage reporting obligations, and support compliance training and awareness across the organization.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification from an internationally recognised body such as ICA or ACAMS.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Law, Finance, or Business.
  • Deep knowledge of the EU regulatory environment and key financial crime regimes.
  • Practical knowledge of the French and EU regulatory environment, with knowledge of other EU markets welcome.
  • Track record of managing compliance in an entity operating across multiple EU borders.
  • Ability to translate complex legal text into actionable operational workflows for product and engineering teams.
  • Native-level fluency in French for communications, regulatory reporting, and legal interpretation.
  • Full professional proficiency in English for group-level communication and drafting policies and procedures.
  • Additional EU language skills, particularly German, are welcome.
