Description

  • Lead the architecture and development of security agent capabilities for runtime threat detection and workload protection across Datadog Security products.
  • Design and build reusable eBPF-based monitoring features for process, file, and network visibility in Linux environments.
  • Drive new features from technical strategy and design through implementation, testing, and rollout.
  • Establish and improve testing approaches that increase coverage, detection quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Partner with product, security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to deliver shared platform capabilities across multiple products.
  • Provide technical leadership by influencing engineering direction, mentoring peers, and resolving cross-functional technical challenges.
  • Work on performance-sensitive systems and large-scale data collection for security use cases.
  • Contribute to the future direction of Datadog’s security platform through broad organizational impact.

Requirements

  • Significant experience building software in Linux environments, including Linux internals, kernel APIs, or systems programming.
  • Hands-on experience with eBPF, kernel-level instrumentation, driver development, networking systems, agent development, or related low-level technologies.
  • Experience building and operating systems where performance and reliability are critical.
  • Experience building and maintaining production software across diverse Linux distributions and kernel versions.
  • Strong technical leadership experience, including influencing architecture and execution across teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Product-minded and customer-focused approach to balancing technical excellence with customer impact and usability.
  • Passion for technology and willingness to grow skills, even if not meeting all qualifications on day one.
