Description

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on incident response, on-call, internal developer platforms, work management, workflow automation, and operational tooling.
  • Create technical content through demos, public speaking, blogs, documentation, webinars, open source, research reports, and other formats.
  • Partner with product engineering teams to develop compelling demos and coach engineers on communication and presentations.
  • Engage open source communities to shape market messaging and develop Datadog integrations.
  • Provide product feedback, documentation, bug reports, and code contributions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, DevOps Engineer, or Software Developer running production systems and participating in on-call or incident response.
  • Strong understanding of incident response, on-call practices, post-incident reviews, and SLOs.
  • Experience with service-management tools such as Datadog, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, incident.io, Rootly, Jira Cloud Platform, or Cortex.
  • 2+ years of experience creating technical content or presenting through writing, conferences, workshops, livestreams, videos, open source, or community events.
  • Publicly available technical writing samples, demos, or presentation recordings.
  • Proficiency in at least one language such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Bash, plus experience with APIs, cloud infrastructure, and containers.
  • Passion for addressing organizational and technical challenges and independently learning new technologies.
  • Hands-on ITSM experience with ServiceNow or Jira Service Management is preferred.
  • Active participation in SRE, DevOps, or incident-response communities is preferred.
