Description

  • Own verification frameworks, pipelines, and guardrails used by engineering teams across the company.
  • Build and improve automation for functional, integration, security, performance, and regression verification.
  • Develop input verification approaches alongside output verification, including for AI-generated code and agentic workflows.
  • Assess the quality, coverage, and gaps in existing automation harnesses and verification processes.
  • Experiment with new ways to verify adherence to architecture, design principles, conventions, logging, and observability standards.
  • Write verification approach documents, failure-mode analyses, and coverage/gap analyses.
  • Create and maintain pipeline tooling and other infrastructure that supports CI/CD verification.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teammates on shared AI tooling and verification strategy.
  • Help shape how verification is embedded into the delivery flow from spec to ship.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and maintaining automated verification frameworks that other engineers use.
  • Experience verifying web applications, APIs, and data layers across functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience integrating verification into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to diagnose weak or noisy pipeline signals.
  • Fluency in at least one of C#/dotnet, Python, or TypeScript, plus the ability to read across all three.
  • Comfort building infrastructure that supports CI/CD pipelines, monoliths, microservices, and agentic environments.
  • Ability to write code that other engineers depend on and choose appropriate verification approaches for different problems.
  • Strong judgement, taste, vision, context, agency, and ownership.
  • Experience evaluating AI-generated tests for true coverage versus the appearance of coverage.
  • Interest in AI-assisted verification, including scaffolding generation, gap analysis, and agent-driven exploration of failure modes.
  • Nice to have: a background or career path that is non-linear, as the team welcomes diverse paths into the work.
