Description

  • Manage personnel in the accounting department and support daily accounting operations.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and reports.
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the month-end financial close process and identify opportunities for financial improvement.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and summarize current financial status.
  • Prepare and submit financial statements in a timely manner.
  • Work with operational staff to review P&L and other financial statements to improve departmental profitability.
  • Manage financial vendor relationships, including CPA and banking partners.
  • Use accounting software to improve analysis, entries, and system alignment.
  • Develop financial models and forecasts.
  • Handle other duties and special projects as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in an operational finance/accounting position.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Experience leading month-end close.
  • Experience preparing financial statements.
  • Experience performing general ledger analysis.
  • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred, including claims billing exposure.
  • Strong communication skills with a clear understanding of company business lines.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, manage time efficiently, and meet specific deadlines.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and general computer literacy, including typing proficiency.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and strong at problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting individual and team goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection is required for this work-from-home position.
