Description

  • Manage personnel within the accounting department and oversee accounting services such as data review, data entry, reconciliation, and transaction processing.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and submit financial statements on schedule.
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the month-end financial close process.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts, identify trends, and surface opportunities for cost savings and financial improvement.
  • Work with operational staff to review P&L and other financial statements to improve department profitability.
  • Manage financial vendor relationships, including CPA and banking partners.
  • Use accounting software to improve analysis, entries, and development aligned with current systems.
  • Perform financial modeling and forecasting, along with other assigned projects based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or a related Finance field is required.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in an operational finance or accounting role.
  • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with a clear understanding of company business lines.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting individual and team goals.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience in accounts receivable, billing, and cash applications.
  • Knowledge of insurance billing for claims is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to maintain a reliable internet connection and provide/support own internet services for work-from-home duties.
