Description

  • Manage and deliver statutory financial accounting and reporting for the Group, including consolidated financial statements under IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Liaise and collaborate with auditors, legal counsel, tax, business, and regional finance teams.
  • Develop and improve group accounting policies, including new processes and system changes.
  • Act as an internal consultant on technical accounting matters by preparing technical papers and advising on new accounting developments.
  • Drive the establishment and continuous improvement of internal controls and business processes by identifying gaps and recommending enhancements.
  • Ensure tax accounting, including deferred tax and provisional tax, aligns with statutory tax computation and submission.
  • Lead ad-hoc special projects such as valuation, internal control reviews, M&A, adoption of new accounting standards, and system implementation.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Group finance team while setting objectives and fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Continuously improve business and finance processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in preparing, managing, or auditing complex group consolidations, including subsidiaries, associates, joint ventures, and non-controlling interests.
  • Experience in a Big 4 financial services audit firm or financial institution is desired.
  • Experience managing a US IPO project or announcements to US stock exchanges.
  • Degree in Accountancy or a recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to navigate complex environments and support strategic decision-making.
  • High attention to detail with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Competence in IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and strong system savvy.
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or data analytics tools is an advantage.
  • Preferably has crypto knowledge.
  • Good command of English and Chinese.
