Description

  • Design and implement complete full stack features across backend and frontend.
  • Develop backend APIs primarily in PHP within MVC-based architectures.
  • Build and enhance Angular 2+ single-page applications using TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Contribute to Node.js services when needed by the project.
  • Optimize and maintain relational databases such as MySQL.
  • Refactor legacy components and production code to improve maintainability and performance.
  • Improve automated test coverage where applicable.
  • Participate actively in code reviews and sprint ceremonies.
  • Deliver committed sprint work independently within established delivery timelines.
  • Work within existing architecture guidelines and maintain steady sprint velocity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong PHP experience in an MVC framework, with Symfony strongly preferred; Laravel, Zend, or CakePHP also acceptable.
  • Strong Angular 2+ experience in production environments.
  • Experience with TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong relational database experience with MySQL or similar, including query optimization.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience working on legacy production systems and improving existing codebases.
  • Experience working in agile or sprint-based environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and structured code review processes.
  • Production experience with Node.js frameworks such as NestJS or Express is a plus.
  • Experience in transaction-heavy or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
  • Experience improving automated test coverage in mature systems is a plus.
  • Based in LATAM with at least 4 hours of overlap with US business hours.
  • Advanced English proficiency, spoken and written.
  • Full-time availability for a fixed-term contract engagement.
  • Availability to complete a take-home technical assessment within 3 days.
