Description

  • Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to assess project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions for commercial construction projects.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and material measurements from plans and specifications.
  • Identify project risks, exclusions, and cost considerations during tender review.
  • Complete quantity calculations for materials, labour, and subcontractor scopes.
  • Support budgeting, cost planning, and project feasibility assessments.
  • Monitor estimating databases and pricing schedules, and maintain accurate estimating records.
  • Source and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing using ProcurePro.
  • Assist with procurement planning, cost benchmarking, and maintenance of supplier databases.
  • Support project handovers from estimating to delivery teams and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Cost Planner within commercial construction.
  • Strong experience conducting material take-offs and quantity calculations.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience with BuildTrend and/or ProcurePro is desirable.
  • Experience working on commercial, industrial, or multi-residential projects is desirable.
  • Understanding of Australian construction contracts and tender processes is desirable.
  • Previous experience supporting procurement and supplier engagement is desirable.

  • Salary of $1,700–$2,200 AUD per month.
