Description

  • Administer, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and recover Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).
  • Manage directory objects, organizational units, delegated permissions, service accounts, and least-privilege access.
  • Develop, deploy, test, back up, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects, including inheritance, filtering, and recovery.
  • Manage domain and forest trusts, AD sites and subnets, replication topology, domain-controller health, DNS, DFSR, time synchronization, and FSMO roles.
  • Support domain-controller installation, upgrades, demotion, retirement, and controlled schema extensions.
  • Resolve escalated identity, authentication, authorization, policy, trust, and replication issues; support incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Execute backup, authoritative and non-authoritative restoration, deleted-object recovery, forest recovery, COOP, and disaster-recovery exercises.
  • Test integrations between AD and Okta or other approved identity platforms, including synchronization, provisioning, authentication flows, mappings, and federation protocols.
  • Automate directory administration, health validation, and reporting; apply security baselines, review audits, and support RMF, POA&M, and remediation activities.
  • Maintain SOPs, recovery plans, configuration baselines, directory diagrams, and program health and risk reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience where permitted.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in Active Directory administration, identity engineering, Windows infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on enterprise AD DS administration experience with objects, OUs, GPOs, trusts, replication, schema changes, delegated permissions, and directory recovery.
  • Experience troubleshooting authentication, authorization, Group Policy, replication, and trust issues and supporting AD backup, restoration, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience testing identity integrations or supporting identity modernization, with understanding of AD DS and external ICAM, federation, or cloud identity services.
  • Active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Okta integrations, Microsoft Entra ID, or hybrid identity (preferred).
  • Experience with federal or DoD identity environments, CAC/PIV, PKI, federation protocols, PowerShell, DISA STIGs, RMF, Zero Trust, or identity-governance tools (preferred).
  • Microsoft identity, Windows Server, Azure, Okta, Security+, security, or ITIL 4 Foundation certifications (preferred).
