Description

  • Work on both frontend and backend components of web applications.
  • Architect and implement services in the retail cloud in collaboration with product teams.
  • Build microservices, business-facing user dashboards, and customer-facing experiences.
  • Own the technical aspects of services within the application cloud.
  • Design and implement solutions in TypeScript/JavaScript on AWS Serverless.
  • Publish APIs, SDKs, and CLIs that other developers can use.
  • Write responsive and functional React components for the front end.
  • Help onboard parts of the stack to an API-first model.
  • Maintain code quality, functional correctness, and strong system design practices.
  • Stay current with best practices for clean and elegant software development.

Requirements

  • Around 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Node, React, and AWS.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudFront, and CodePipeline; CodePipeline is trainable.
  • Ability to work across both frontend and backend development.
  • Ability to act as the technical owner of an internally facing consumer microservice product.
  • Strong sense of ownership across the full software lifecycle.
  • Preference for finding the best solution, not just a working one.
