Description

  • Design and develop core backend systems for market connectivity, order routing, execution, risk, and position tracking.
  • Implement ultra-low-latency, GC-free components using lock-free and off-heap programming techniques.
  • Apply event-driven and fully deterministic design principles to produce traceable and predictable system behavior.
  • Collaborate with product and trading teams to translate requirements into production-ready solutions.
  • Profile performance, tune the JVM, and debug complex production issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical audits to uphold code quality standards.
  • Use AI-driven coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar tools where appropriate to improve productivity.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Java backend development experience, preferably in trading or real-time systems.
  • Deep understanding of Java core internals, multithreading, memory models, and garbage collection.
  • Proven experience with GC-free or low-GC programming, including sun.misc.Unsafe, direct buffers, and memory-mapped files.
  • Familiarity with Aeron, SBE, or other low-latency messaging libraries.
  • Strong grasp of event-driven architecture and experience designing fully deterministic systems.
  • Solid knowledge of time-series and analytical databases such as ClickHouse; exposure to kdb+ or InfluxDB is a plus.
  • Experience with distributed systems, message queues, and network/application performance tuning.
  • Comfortable using AI-powered development tools to improve code quality and speed.
  • Strong testing discipline, including TDD, benchmarking, and resilience testing.
  • Proficient in English; Chinese or other languages are a plus but not required.
